What is the story of the Invisible Man?

This is a richly comic, heartbreaking and soul-searching novel. Unlike anything that you have ever read, it is the story of a young Black man on the way of self-discovery. Their past is truly disconcerted.

His tale travels with an unconvincing push from the unusual conflict with the White Trustees who led him to be removed from a Southern college to his strong culminating in New York’s Harlem.

  • The horrible employment in a paint factory,
  • his bitter disillusion of ‘brotherhood’ and its betrayal policy
  • the brutal culmination as yelling tensions were called to light during a terrifying race revolt.

A victorious story that made this a brilliant and monumental novel. This illustrates abysmal knowledge of man’s battle to uncover his true self.

From the Book – Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison

I am an invisible man. No, I am not a spook like those who haunted Edgar Allan Poe; nor am I one of your Hollywood-movie ectoplasms. I am a man of substance, of flesh and bone, fiber and liquids—and I might even be said to possess a mind. I am invisible, understand, simply because people refuse to see me. Like the bodiless heads you see sometimes in circus sideshows, it is as though I have been surrounded by mirrors of hard, distorting glass. When they approach me they see only my surroundings, themselves, or figments of their imagination—indeed, everything and anything except me.
